Autocad Career

AutoCAD is a popular proprietary computer aided design software program developed by AutoDesk. Although AutoCAD has many different applications, it is predominantly used in careers such as architecture, engineering, manufacturing, graphic design, urban planning, and computer science. If you are interested in pursuing a career in any of these areas, mastering AutoCAD software can vastly improve your effectiveness and employability.

What Education Do I Need for an AutoCAD Career?
In order to pursue an AutoCAD career, your training will need to be twofold. First, you'll need to master all of the methodology, history, training, skills, and knowledge germane to the specific industry that you plan to pursue. A structural engineer doesn't necessarily have to master the same areas that a manufacturing engineer might have to. For each of these disciplines, usually, one needs at least an associate's degree for entry. Some even require a master's or higher. The second phase of your training will involve learning AutoCAD software itself. There are numerous training programs, community colleges, and online tutorials that can assist you with this. In addition, AutoDesk offers self-paced tutorials that can walk you through everything you need to know step-by-step.

As already mentioned, learning computer aided design software is a wise investment for anyone interested in pursuing design, engineering, or manufacturing-related careers. And as time goes on, our dependence on CAD software will only become more pronounced. Thus, it's a good idea to master the basics now so that you only need to update your skills periodically going into the future.
