Education for Careers in Computer Engineering
For most careers in computer engineering, a bachelor's degree is the preferred credential for entry level positions. There are about 230 colleges offer accredited programs in engineering technology. These programs can be completed through a traditional campus based degree program or through a distance education format. For more advanced careers in computer engineering, master's and doctoral level programs are suggested. Database management, computer information systems, and computer science are a few of the specialties that employers value.
